Fees and Insurance
The kind of support therapist and consultants provide used to be given and received communally. The uncomfortable fact is that this support is now mediated by money. I believe conversations about money are important. These are the fees I charge to cover my family's expenses. They cover my insurance, sick time, vacation time, childcare, business expenses and basic living expenses. If payment is a barrier, I offer a moderate sliding scale.

Info about obtaining Out-of-Network reimbursement:
In some cases, you may be able to work directly with your insurance company to get partial reimbursement through your out-of-network (OON) benefits. In general, most PPO plans (not HMO) have OON benefits. However, you must confirm this with your insurance company. If you will be doing this, I will provide you with Superbills to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Note: insurance companies usually do not reimburse for the full fee, so you will still be paying some money out of pocket.
